Are they OK on LCHF low carb?
Chia seeds are almost 50% carbs. So you cant eat too many of them. They do have good omega-3 levels but they also have high phytates which binds minerals such as zinc, magnesium ,calcium, copper and iron. This means that absorption of these minerals are reduces on a diet of chia seeds.My suggestion is to avoid chia seeds. - Doc H 2/7/2014
